Disney Dipping Sauce is the perfect blend of garlic infused olive oil, herbs, spices and Parmesan cheese. Just add bread and you have the perfect appetizer. Oh, and don’t forget the dash of golden stars!
So, what is your favorite memory from visiting the Magic Kingdom for the first time? Having grown up only 20 minutes from Disneyland, I spent many a happy, joyous summer there. As a small child, I would beg my parents to take me every weekend. I just couldn’t get enough of It’s a Small World. It doesn’t get much better than dancing, animated dolls from around the world all singing directly to you (or so I thought). And, don’t even get me started on TinkerBell.
Walt Disney was clearly a visionary. On July 17, 1955, Walt Disney swung open the doors to his very own theme park, Disneyland, with this dedication:
“To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.” What an Enchanted Place!
I really enjoyed watching the Park mature into the attraction it is today. It seemed like every year they would add something new and exhilarating. I could hardly wait to see what was coming next. The Downtown Disney expansion in 2001 brought a new excitement to the Park. Suddenly there was an array of unique shops, world-class eateries and eclectic entertainment with no admission fee to enter.
One of the new eateries was an Italian restaurant with outdoor dining and a fun family atmosphere called Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria. When you were seated, they immediately brought you this AMAZING Disney Dipping Sauce and fresh bread. It’s something TinkerBell must have been cooking in the back kitchen, because it was truly magical! It seemed crazy that only a couple ingredients could taste so ridiculously good! However, it was the perfect amount of golden rich oil, zesty garlic, red pepper flakes, nutty Parmesan cheese and spices. My family devoured it by the spoonful. Sadly, they no longer bring you the dip, but I was able to get the recipe from Tink when she was in a “good” mood one day. So, now I make this incredibly addictive and delicious dip at home, with my favorite Garlic Butter Breadsticks. And, because of this savory combination of deliciousness, now my home is the Happiest Place on Earth!
